Workshop at KCN

The workshop on Sensitisation in educational methodology was organised by Krupanidhi college of Nursing in association with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences on 23rd July 2015.

The general objective of the workshop was to empower participants to be competent in educational methodology and to identify the need, implement and perpetuate faculty development at institutional level. The resource person for the workshop was Dr. Munir Ahmed, Director of College of Development Council, RGUHS Bangalore.

The programme was inaugurated by Prof. Dr. Suresh Nagpal, Chairman, Krupanidhi Group of Institutions. The sessions on various aspects of the educational methodology was held between 10:30 am to 4:00 pm, followed by valedictory session at 4:15pm. Certificate of participation was distributed by Mr. Sarath Chandra Kammat, Dean, Krupanidhi School of Management.

80 participants from various colleges of Nursing, physiotherapy and pharmacy affiliated to RGUHS, Bangalore attended the workshop. The workshop was very informative and effective in all its sense.

Indeed this was a great privilege given by the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore to our college of Nursing.

Workshop on Research Methodology @ RGUHS

he department of Advanced Research, RGUHS Bangalore have organised three workshops on Research methodology covering all the 300 Nursing colleges in Karnataka from July to September 2015. Prof. Mrs. Jasmine Joseph , Principal, Krupanidhi College of Nursing and Mr. Prabhuswamy A.C (Principal, Fortis institute of Nursing) were the organizers of this workshop. Also Prof. Mrs. Jasmine Joseph was a resource person for the topic 'Report writing'. Mrs. Reena Ravi, Associate Professor, KCN too had participated in this workshop as a delegate.

Workshop @ St Johns college of Nursing

St Johns Research Institute, Bangalore-34 in collaboration with University of Sterling had organised a workshop on “Research in Practice and Education for Nurses- A Continuing Professional Development” on 21st July 2015. The KCN faculty Prof. Mrs. PrabhaLis Thomas and Mrs. Leeba Baby had attended the sessions and were awarded the Certificate of Participation.

GFATM Training for Trainers

The World Health Organisation initiated project "Global fund to fight against AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria; Training for Trainers (GFATM-TOT)", was held at St. John's Medical College and Research Institute. Indian Nursing Council is organising this programme in India. The KCN faculty Mrs. Glancy Flora and Ms. Geeta B had undergone this training on “Tuberculosis management” and were awarded with certificate.

CNE Programme @ KCN

CNE department of KCN had organised a session on Tuberculosis: Care and control in India for our faculty. Resource personnel for the session were MrsGlancy Flora and Ms. Geetha B (Assistant Lecturers of KCN and Trainers to GFATM). This was a 1 hour session and all the faculty attended the class.
