MEGA MEDICAL CAMP AT DOMMASANDRA PUBLIC HEALTH CENTRE.

Mega medical camp was conducted on 26th of April 2022 by third year GNM students, Second year BScnursing students under the guidance of Dr. Yogesh,faculties of Krupanidhi college of Nursing and Physiotherapy.

Camp was inaugurated by theDr.Devi Samuel, Principal, KCON at Dommasandra, PHC. Coordinated work by the students , faculties, and physicians from Sakra hospital benefited nearly 350 people in one day. General physical examination, vital signs monitoring, BP and blood sugar monitoring and eye check up and various screening tests were done during the camp under one roof.










FREE MEDICAL CAMP BY KCON AND TREDA AT TREDA COUNSELING AND DE ADDICTION CENTRE

On 26th June 2022 Free medical camp for the public was organized by Krupanidhi college in collaboration with the TREDA counselling and de-addiction centre and Karunalayam Hospital. The program was inaugurated by former Minister of Karnataka and MLA Mahadevapura Constituency and Dr. Devi Samuel, Principal of Krupanidhi college of Nursing.

On the day of the camp, numerous people were registered for health check-up. After registration they underwent anthropometric measurement, BP monitoring, Blood sugar and HB Estimation was done. The needed persons were seen by a team of Doctors under TREDAcentre and were provided medicines as prescribed by them. Students actively participated in the camp and provided services to public.







The Lamp lighting ceremony held as a tribute to Florence Nightingale is an auspicious occasion in every nurses’ life. The ‘Lamp Lighting and Oath Taking Ceremony’ of the 30th batch of GNM and 19th batch of B. Sc Nursing students of Krupanidhi College of Nursing was held on 17thJune 2022 , at Atheneum Auditorium in the campus.

The programme commenced with a prayer performed by 2nd year B.Sc nursing students and Dr. Prabha Lis Thomas, Vice Princial, KCON officially welcomed the gathering . Mrs. Saroja Jayakumar, Chief of Nursing Services, Manipal Hospital Bangalore, was the Chief Guest of the ceremony, highlighted the significance of the Day. Mrs. Geetha Nagpal, Vice chairperson, KGI, and Dr Devi Samuel, Principal welcomed and congratulated the gathering. The august dignitaries on the dais lighted the lamp and inaugurated the ceremony.

Dr. L . Ravichandar MS (ENT) Chief of Medical Services , HAL hospitals, Bangalore impressed the gathering by his life experiences in the medical field and spectacular role of nurses.

As a sign of honour and respect to the Pioneer of Nursing profession, the dignitaries lighted the Lamp for the portrait of Florence Nightingale, The lady with the lamp. The dignitaries along with the nursing faculty, Nursing Superintendent and Matrons of HAL hospital Bengaluru, lit the lamps of 120 novice nursing students which symbolizes wisdom, knowledge, and compassion, followed by recitation of oath, pledging themselves to uphold the duties as a professional Nurse, administered by the Principal of KCON . A melodious and soothing song “Go light the World” added solemnity for the program.

Mrs. Geetha Nagpal , in her address to the gathering applauded the students for choosing the nursing profession. She said the students who chose this profession are already self -motivated ones and these budding nurses are a great asset to the needy patients.

Mrs. Saranya, Lecturer, Department of Medical surgical nursing, proposed the vote of thanks.











INTERNATIONAL NURSES DAY CELEBRATION - MAY 2022

International Nurses’ Day is celebrated around the world every May 12, the birth anniversary of Florence Nightingale. International Council of Nurses commemorates this important day each year. The theme for the year 2022 is Nurses: A Voice to Lead -Invest in Nursing and Respect Rights to Secure Global Health. Krupanidhi college of Nursing College of Nursing, celebrated International Nurses’ Day - 2022 with great enthusiasm.  All the departments of the College, Student Nurses Association have conducted various events as part of International Nurses’ Day 2022.

Warm words make everyone comfortable. The programme was inaugurated with the warm welcome by the most respected Dr. Samuel Paul Isaac. Campus director, KGI. Professor Uma Parvathi, HOD of department of OBG Nursing  opened the theme of the day. The gathering flourished with the words of Principal, Dr.Devi Samuel about the International Nurses Day, the importance of Nurses in the healthcare industry and challenges faced by the nurses during the pandemic. Following this event,  the faculties and student representatives of KCON addressed their views about the significance of the role of nurses and the nurse educators in the present scenario.

Prior to the Nurses Day celebration SNA unit of KCON conducted various Cultural events and competitions in the campus, where the students actively participated and enjoyed the vibrant live events after two years pandemic and online events. The program was boosted up with selected events like group song,  solo song , group dance and poem recitations. The program winded up with distribution of awards to the students who excelled in cultural and sports events .










SNA CULTURAL AND SPORTS FEST - MAY 2022

The cultural and sports fest was held from 4th may to 9th may 2022. The students were divided into four houses or groups named as Berlin, Tokyo, Oslo, Nairobi in advance.

On the first day we conducted sports including 100mt , 200mt for boys and girls, relay race, three legged race, football, badminton.

On the second day we conducted tug of war, rangoli, mehendi, poem writing, painting, cooking without fire, hair and make up.

On the 3rd day we conducted best out of waste, dumb charades, treasure hunt. On the 4th day we conducted solo song, group song, solo dance, group dance, fashion show, fancy dress, saree draping.

All the programs conducted successfully and judges has been selected from other department .They has evaluated the events and the results has been announced by the SNA executives to the students as well as to the house captains.

All the group members actively participated in all the events and made the cultural week a grant success.
