Clinical Postings

Clinical postings form an important part of the nursing curriculum as they help to expand the horizon of the student community. The students gain clinical experience through block postings in various government and multi-speciality hospitals. Krupanidhi College of Nursing (KCON) conducts various field trips and outings for clinical practices in reputed hospitals with proper guidance from our efficient staff members. The students conduct bed side presentations and clinical conferences to gain hands-on experience from the leaders. 

During the first year of the course, the students are posted in Hindustan Aeronautical Limited (HAL) hospital, Bangalore for the general exposure and to achieve skills in the basic nursing procedures.

From the second year onwards, students are posted in various multi-speciality hospitals according to their syllabus requirements. They are posted in the following hospitals:

  • Indra Gandhi Institute of Child Health Bangalore
  • SPARSH Hospital
  • Kidwai Memorial Hospital of Oncology
  • Spandana Multi-speciality and Rehabilitation Centre
  • Trinity Heart foundation, Basavangudi
  • Vanivilas Maternity & Children Hospital, K R Market
  • NU Trust Hospitals, Banashankari,
  • TREDA Deaddiction Centre, Bangalore
  • Sri Jayadeva Institute of Cardiovascular Sciences and Research Centre
  • Shankara Eye Hospital
  • Fortis Hospitals, Bengaluru
  • Collaborate with Gunjur PHC & Dommasandra PHC for serving the needs of the community and Morbidity Clinics in the Public Health centres.
  • Outreach programmes in Swanthana, Asha Bhavan home for Destitute, Sneha Care Home and Snehadan Charitable Trust.

KCON holds MOU with the following hospital where the students work as staff nurses for a period of five months, and they receive ample opportunities to continue as staff in these hospitals:

KCON also introduced Simulation based learning for the first year second year Bsc nursing and GNM students. The High fidelity simulation manikins helps the students to perform various procedure and learn with out fear thus all the students are enabled to perform in the clinicals with high confidence level and very minimal chances of error in their clinical perfrmances.
